Karl Jenkins is among the world’s greatest living composers. With 2
honorary doctorate degrees in music, his musical influences draw from
classical, jazz, rock, ethnic and nature. His music was performed by
the London Symphony Orchestra for their centenary concerts, Colin Davis
conducting. The world’s leading corporations have chosen Jenkin’s

Theme from Palladio is part of "Adiemus", a suite of works by Karl
Jenkins that have been described as, "mysterious", "spiritual" and
"illuminating at the heart". Palladio is on track #3 of "Carol Plays",
one of 11 tracks of Karl Jenkins works on this CD.
Charles Tournemire and Iver Kleive have the 2 concluding tracks of
"Carol Plays". They are contemporary composers whose works showcase the
exhilirating power of the pipe organ.
St. Martin’s Church of Dudelange, Luxemborg organ was chosen as the
setting for "Carol Plays" because of the exceptional acoustics
displayed within the structure - which sustains the reverberations of
the pipe organ for 6 seconds. The exciting acoustic qualities of this
instrument transfer well to the CD and contribute to the depth of
emotional experience heard on "Carol Plays".
